I've worked as a magazine writer and editor, a newspaper reporter, a teacher of magazine writing, editing and interviewing, and a community relations specialist. I spent 10 years as a staff writer, photographer and video producer at The Columbian newspaper in Vancouver, Wash. For the past four years, I've been a weekly freelance writer for The Oregonian.
