Selling Self-published books

So, if you are a writer, and not a marketing specialist, selling books is hard.
When I was younger I traveled the countryside selling "The Last Yoncalla: The Legend of Sam Fearn.." I sold 1,000 books. It paid off.
With my second book, a novel called "Small Town Boy: Shards of a Life, Pure Fiction," I've not traveled to every bookstore, every courthouse and city hall, every public square. So I've sold quite a few less.
These books, people tell me, are both pretty good.
I can tell you for certain they are better than half the books on sale today at Powell's.
I'd love to send you a copy of either one of these books. They cost me something over $15 each to print. But you set the price.
I'm having a good time now writing short stories. I've written 25 short short stories in six weeks. Three or four of them are excellent, some others are pretty good. Every story I write makes me a better writer. I'll be publishing a book of short stories in a few months.
If you can't wait, email me and I'll send you a couple.
Better yet, write your own.
Peace!
